2011 f150 oem stereo upgrade4/18/2024 I do have one question which relates to the backup camera. I can build my own box to fit under the rear passenger seat instead also did I mention that the price of the stealthbox is ridiculous? With the Stealth box the sub is mounted under the rear driver side which leaves only the space under the rear passenger seat available for storage. I choose the JL audio 10TW3-D4 syb over the JL Audio Stealthbox due the the $$$ and I really would like the sub and box to take up as little room as possible. I plan on mounting the amp and the front component crossovers on the backwall behind the rear seat. This will free up a front cup holder for those long road trips. I love the idea of having the storage pocket at the bottom of the dash that the iDatalink K150 dash kit provides as I have the none connected center console and the spot I use to hold my phone is one of the cup holders at the front. My navigation is also ran off my phone so again with android auto/apple carplay the nav screen is now up high in the center of the dash instead of on my phone. A couple of the main deciding factors include: I primarily stream my audio off of my phone so having android auto/apple carplay is a huge plus. Currently a complete gut job is winning my internal debate. I have debated with myself with regards to keeping the stock radio and going the route of a DSP/amp/speaker upgrade or completely gutting the stock audio with an aftermarket radio/amp/speaker setup. My truck currently has the 4.3" screen radio and like others have noticed with this radio option the sound quality is less than stellar with the factory components.
